K – Drama Review: Signal Episode 2

Hello Dramatics! I’m back once again with another K – Drama Review. We are on Episode 2 of the exciting murder mystery drama Signal. A lot happened in the first episode! There are so many questions that needs answers! I am sure this episode will have you all on the edge of your seat as well. Without further adieu, lets jump right into Episode 2.

We left off with Detective Cha in the interrogation room with Nurse Yoon. She is asking Nurse Yoon about the abduction of the young girl and the murder of the young man. Time is running out for Detective Cha to get a confession from her before the statue of limitations take effect. Detective Cha is very stern and a tough interrogator as she asks Nurse Yoon tough questions. Nurse Yoon denies everything of course. With a few minutes left, Detective Cha reveals that her DNA was found on the glasses of the young man, however, they have not heard back from forensics to confirm this. With time running out, Detective Park enters the room and demands she confesses, but she stands firm that she is innocent. Now that time has run out, and the statue of limitations have gone into effect, they have no choice but to let her go. Detective Park gets the DNA results back about the blood on the glasses of the young man, and they stop Nurse Yoon from leaving. The statue of limitations have not run out for the young man. And with that, she is arrested.

S1

Because of this case, there is a law that has passed. Any case before the year 2000 that has a statue of limitations on it has been reopened so they can be solved. The Chief of Police is in charge of this Cold Case Squad. And guess who is in charge of all of these cold cases….that’s right our Detective Cha and Detective Park. Detective Cha is not thrilled that Detective Park is working with her on these cases because he is inexperienced. We also learn a little more about Detective Park. It appears he has a brother who is either dead or in jail. He goes to visit a memorial of his brother in the woods and he also goes to his elementary school and pays respect to the young girl that was kidnapped and murdered.

S4

Superintendent Kim i talking to the Chief about the cold cases that are now open. He is not happy about this at all and is hoping that the department will disappear soon. he tells the Chief to be quiet and play along like he did with Detective Lee 15 years ago. I wonder what happened between the Chief and Detective Lee?

Detective Cha goes to visit Nurse Yoon in prison. She asks the nurse if she knows the man in this picture, then she holds up a picture of Detective Lee. Nurse Yoon says she does not know or remember seeing him 15 years ago. Just then we flashback to a young Detective Cha and Detective Lee participating in a photo shoot. I have a feeling that Detective Lee might be deceased when Detective Cha visits his father at his shop. She asks him if he visits the temple and he said he does not go anymore.  The two talk and he asks her if she is dating anyone because she once loved his son. So we can say that Detective Cha and Detective Lee did indeed were in a relationship.

S6

Detective Park gets a signal from his walkie talkie from Detective Lee. We see Detective Lee at the hospital and he has blood behind his head and on his shirt. He tells Detective Park this may be the last time he hears from him and to never give up. He also says the year will be 1989, the Lee Jae Han of that time. Detective Park is confused and does not know what this message means. Suddenly we hear a gunshot from Detective Lee’s end. As a viewer, we are not sure who shot who, if Detective Lee was killed, or why he was shot.

S8

We find out more about the cold cases that our Detectives will be working on. One of the cases is the most popular one in South Korea, the Gyeonggi Nambu Serial Murders. We then see a young girl on the bus. After a short ride she gets off at her stop and she is attacked.  The next day, detectives find her deceased body, bound and bloody near a set of train tracks. According to the Chief, the culprit has never been caught. Detective Cha is not to keen on taking on this case because there are no files or evidence and she does not have confidence with her co workers. Detective Park thinks otherwise. Detective Park is looking through files to find some information on Detective Lee. There are many people who have worked on the police force with that same name. But he has narrowed his search down to three.

Next, we see Detective Lee with other officers searching for the girl who was murdered at the train tracks. Detective Park gets a signal from his walkie talkie and begins communicating with Detective Lee about a missing girl. Detective Park tells him the location of where the girl was found. He also said every cop in the country knows where the girls body was found. He then begins to tell Detective Lee about the other bodies and their location. Detective Lee does not know about them because they have not happened yet. When Detective Lee goes to find the first body, he discovers that Detective Park was correct on the location.

S11

During a briefing of the case, Detective Cha gives Detective Park some pictures from a file. It is the seventh and eighth victim of the serial murders. We then see one of the victims walking along the train tracks and someone is following her. She drops her key, and her friend comes outside just in time before she is attacked. We see the culprit run away and hide. but we do not see his face. We then see Detective Lee and he pretends he is looking for someone who moved away in the area. As a viewer we are not sure if he is the culprit or if he was following the young lady to protect her. We then see him near the train tracks where one of the victims was found. The next day he tries to tell on of his co workers about the other murders, but they do not believe him.

Detective Park continues to study the pictures given to him by Detective Cha. He notices something about them. We then see Detective Lee find another victim at the train tracks deceased and her hands and feet are bound. Detective Park gets a weird feeling and it looks as if he has seen a ghost. We notice that the writing on the white board behind him has changed. Detective Cha is walking with a notebook and we also notice the writing in her notebook has changed. Detective Park notices this and he is surprised. And that’s where our episode ends.

S14

Another exciting episode has come to an end. I am so happy with the way this drama is going so far. The writers are doing an amazing job with keeping the suspense level high. I still have so many questions and I wonder why things are the way they are, but I am sure I will get my answers in due time. I will be reviewing this drama for DramaFever and I will post the link when that post is up. Don’t forget to follow my You Tube Channel for updates! Until next time Dramatics. K – Drama Review: Signal Episode 1

Hello Dramatics! Here we go again with another review of the exciting K – Drama Signal. This drama is based off of the K – Drama Gap Dong and the movie Memories Of Murder. All three are based off of real life events that happened in South Korea between 1986-1991. There was a serial killer who killed 10 women between the ages of 13-71. The stars of  Signal are: Lee Je Hoon as Park Hae Young, Kim Hye Soo as Cha Soo Hyun, and Jo Jin Woong as Lee Jae Han. I will be reviewing this drama for DramaFever Drama Club. I will leave the links to our reviews weekly so you can see what we think about each episode. Lets get started with Episode 1.

We start of with a young girl in elementary school in PE class. The other children are playing and she is sitting by herself. She then sees a young boy who is our Detective Park. She goes over to him and asks to play but he just brushes her off. After school, its raining outside and all of the kids are dismissed from school. The only two students that are left are Detective Park and the young girl. Detective Park leaves and he sees a woman with red high heels. When he turns around, he sees the woman walking away with the young girl. At this point we assume that it’s the little girls mother. But we shortly find out that is not the case.

S1.PNG

While at home, Detective Park is watching the news and hears the report that a young girl is missing at his school. He realizes that it’s the same girl he saw earlier who left with the woman. The news reports say that she was kidnapped by a man and Detective Park knows this information is not true. The man that is accused of kidnapping the girl is Seo Hyung Joon, a college student in his 20’s.

Young Detective Park goes to the police station to tell the officers that it was a woman, not a man who kidnapped the girl. As he was was pleading his case, no one would listen to him. The little girls body was found, but her case was never solved. The statue of limitation on the case is approaching and the police have until a certain date to catch the culprit.

We then see Detective Park as an adult. He is a police officer. He is very smart and quick witted in nature. He is determined to solve any crime he gets. We also meet his co worker Detective Cha. She has a very strong and bossy personality, but she is very hard working and all about business.

As Detective Park leaves, he is walking down the hall of the station, he suddenly starts to remember something from his past. We flashback to when he was a little boy trying to tell the other officers that the young girl was kidnapped by a woman, not a man. He has a note in his hand that he wants to give to an adult there, but he bumps into Detective Lee and loses the note. Detective Lee takes the note and puts it in his pocket.

S4

Continuing with our flashback, we see Detective Lee going to a briefing about the murder of the young girl. We learn more detail about the abduction, the time, and a ransom note asking for 50 million won. Detective Lee goes to a cafe to try to find the culprit, but is unsuccessful. He did find his thumb print on a table. He had no phone records to trace in the investigation, however they did find his credit card records. They suspect he has a girlfriend because he made purchases on things a woman would use. We then see a young Detective Cha enter the office. It appears that Deceptive Cha and Detective Lee may have had a relationship at some point. He seems very concerned about her and asks if she has eaten. It’s obvious they work together, but there is something definitely  going on here. We will have to find out in later episodes.

Young Detective Park returns to the police station and realizes that the note is missing from his pocket. We then see Detective Lee exiting the police station and he reads the note that young Detective Park dropped. As he opens it, the note says “The culprit is not a man, but a woman.”

S4

We then see Detective Park exit the police station in the present day. He is going out to his car but notices that a truck is blocking his way. He tries to call someone to move it, but he is unsuccessful. We then see Detective Lee and he goes to the Sunil Psychiatric Hospital. He is going there because he had a suspicious feeling he would find something related to the case there.

When he gets to the hospital, we see that it is closed down, abandoned, full of cobwebs and dust. It almost looks like a haunted house. Detective Lee makes his way to the back of the hospital and outside when he discovers a manhole. When he shines his flashlight down to take a closer look, he sees the skeletal remains of a body. Just then, he gets on his walkie-talkie and begins to talk into it. Detective Park hears the walkie talkie in the truck and finds it and begins talking to Detective Lee.

S5

When he communicates with Detective Park, Detective Lee gives him precise  details about what he sees in the man hole. A noose is around the neck of the victim and his thumb is cut off. Detective Park is listening but confused at the same time because Detective Lee seems to know who he is. S6

Suddenly as Detective Lee is talking, he is struck on the back of the head with an object that knocks him out cold. We do not know who hit him, or why they hit him. We can only assume that whoever did it did not want him to find the remains.

On his way home, Detective Park thinks he is losing his mind. One of his co workers checked out the walkie talkie and we discover that it is very old and has no batteries so how could it transmit a signal? This made Detective park even more curious. So he goes to the hospital and he sees the manhole and when he shines his flashlight down he sees the remains.

The next day, other investigators ar at the hospital and he asks Detective Cha did she find anything out about the remains. Eventually she did find out that the remains are of a male about 20 years old with his thumb cut off. In the meantime, Detective Park is trying to find out any information about Detective Lee, but he is unsuccessful.

S9

After finding out this information Detective Cha immediately confronts Dective Park. She accuses him of knowing the young man who was killed. Just then, the Chief of Police (played by Jang Hyun Sung)  comes in and breaks up the fight between the two. S10

The Chief demands that Detective Cha hand over the files about the victim. She does and he takes it back to his boss, Superintendent Kim Bum Joo. It’s obvious that the Chief and the Superintendent are our villains by their strong personalities and corruptness in the police force. As the two talk, the Chief tells his boss that it was true what Detective Lee said before about the missing thumb.  When he revealed it was cut off by a scalpel, the Superintendent got hostile and accused him of talking back.

As she leaves the station, Detective Park tells her that he saw the person who took the young girl. He reveals that the person was a woman not a man, and he tried to tell the police, but they would not listen to him. He offered to help her with the case since as well. When she exits the station she is bombarded by the media asking her questions about the case and he reply is no comment. Suddenly Detective Park confronts the media and tells them everything. This makes Detective Cha angry, but Detective Park tells her its the only way to get the truth out there. As Superintendent Kim and the Chief look at the news footage, they are outraged because the real truth is out. We also see a nurse who used to work at the hospital were the remains were found. She is very suspicious and it appears she knows something about the case. S15

Back at the office, the Chief of police enters is very angry that Detective Park spilled the beans about the case. Detective Cha stood up for him and told the Chief she told him to say that the murder was a suicide. Detective Park begins to tell all that he knows about the woman who took the girl. She takes care of her self very well, wears very nice close and was wearing red high heels the day she took the young girl. He also says that she must have been caught in the act and that’s why she killed the young man. He was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. So Detective Cha, Detective Park, and others decide to go out and find the woman who is suspected of murder.

As they receive tips about a suspect, they find a woman who they bring in for questioning. She is a nurse who worked at the hospital where the remains were found. However, she denies everything. It suddenly dawns on Detective Park that they have the wrong woman based on the shoes she was wearing.

S14

The real murderer outsmarted the police. When they were searching her locker at work, she switched the name plates. So when Detective Park and Detective Cha got the pictures, it was of the wrong woman. Detective Park sees the woman and tries to find her, but she got away. We then see Detective Cha confront her and that is where our episode ends. S16

Wow a lot has happened the first episode! I am looking forward to watching this drama and learning more about the characters. So far I am really loving the writing and the strong cast! K – Drama Review: Remember Episode 12

Hello Dramatics! Here we are once again with another exciting episode of Remember. We are on Episode 12 of this intense drama. In our previous episode we saw our Jin Woo get his revenge on the doctors who wronged him and his father, he went after Detective Kwak and hand him running scared to Nam Gyu Man, and we saw Nam Gyu Man slap the hell out of Dong Ho. Let’s see what lies ahead in Episode 12.

We last left off with Nam Gyu Man and Dong Ho leaving court after losing to Jin Woo. Nam Gyu Man is so mad that he slaps Dong Ho in the face in front of Jin Woo and Lee In Ah. He threatens Dong Ho by telling him if he messes up again he will not let him off that easy next time.

After the trial, Jin Woo, Min Soo and his father all go out to eat to celebrate the winning. Min Soo asked Jin Woo why Dong Ho recommended him to take his case. Min Soo then showed Jin Woo his business card which was given to him by Dong Ho. Back in his office, Dong Ho asked his assistant for a list of victims regarding the microwave explosion incident and data on the chairman of Il Ho Group. Dong Ho then takes his findings to meet with Detective Bae. They find that there are a lot of things that are suspicious about the files. Nam Il Ho could have murdered the president of the rival company via an exploding microwave light bulb. Dong Ho also finds out that his father would not follow the orders of Nam Il Ho and was running away. As a result, he ended up in a car accident. We also see a spy of Nam Gyu Man watching and listening to everything the two men talk about. He later goes back and tells Dong Ho’s father figure everything he heard.

At Jin Woo’s office, his co workers and Lee In Ah are celebrating their win. The Office Manager and the stuttering attourney leave the room to give Jin Woo and Lee In Ah some private time. The two of them are cute and playful on the couch as Lee In Ah reminds Jin Woo that she is twenty-eight and he is twenty-three. She puts him in a friendly choke hold and demands him to call her Noona. The two of them are so cute and I approve of the older woman/younger man relationship. I am still hoping for a romance between these two sometime before the end of this drama.

After meeting with Nam Il Ho to discuss the results of the trial, Dong Ho meets with this father figure. Dong Ho asks him why is he spying on him. He also asks if his father’s death related to Nam Il Ho. His father figure tells him that he did not know about that, but if he is messing with the chairman, he will have to go through him. Hurt by this, Dong Ho suggests that because he no longer like a father to him they should go their separate ways.

Back at his office Jin Woo and Lee In Ah are talking and she mentioned something he said when they first met, but Jin Woo could not remember it. Concerned, she offered to help him if he gets too tired from working.

Detective Kwak enters the former prosecutor’s office begging for his help to make things right with Nam Gyu Man. The prosecutor refuses to help him because he betrayed not only Nam Gyu Man but him as well. The prosecutor then meets with Nam Gyu Man and tells him that the detective came to see him an asked for forgiveness. He also mentioned that the younger judge is suspicious about the trial that involved the college student.

The younger judge meets with Lee In Ah and Jin Woo at his office. He asks Jin Woo about the college student murder and told him that there is more to the story. He mentioned the sudden change of judges and the inconsistency in the testimony of the plaintiffs. Lee In Ah and Jin Woo mentioned that they both seen the video tape confession of the real murderer Nam Gyu Man.

In his office, Dong Ho’s assistant tells him that his father figure is indeed spying on him. At his point, Dong Ho knows that Nam Gyu Man is growing suspicious of him and what he is doing. He tells his assistant that Jin Woo must win the trial.

While having dinner with Dong Ho’s father figure, Detective Kwak barges in on Nam Gyu Man and his party. He asks Nam Gyu Man how can he betray him like this when he worked so hard and did everything he said. He threatened to rat Nam Gyu Man out and then he is removed by body guards out of the restaurant. Next we see poor Detective Kwak tied up and hanging from a room in the warehouse where  Jin Woo’s father was threatened. We also see a camera that is recording everything that Nam Gyu Man is saying. I am going to assume this was planted by Jin Woo and that Detective Kwak is working with him.

Lee In Ah goes to visit the home of the young college student who died. She enters her bedroom with permission from her mother and gathers some of her belongings. While examining  her things she sees her diary. In the diary Lee In Ah sees the singing job Jung Ah booked along with a business card of Nam Gyu Man’s assistant. She then goes to confront the assistant who denied everything. Nam Gyu Man saw the two of them talking and he asked his assistant what they talked about and of course his assistant said nothing.

Jin Woo and his assistant were trying to get witnesses for the upcoming Miso Light Bulb trial, and they were unsuccessful at first until they find one witness who’s daughter was injured. After talking to the man, Jin Woo finds out that Dong Ho asked him to falsely testify so that he can pay for his daughters surgery.

Nam Gyu Man’s assistant Soo Bum gets humiliated by Nam Gyu Man and his friend. He goes out to dinner with the younger judge and gets completely drunk. He starts to talk about Nam Gyu Man and how he knows secrets about him that could get him in trouble.

Nam Gyu Man and his assistant are dong some community service work until he gets a phone call. He sees a video where he tied up Detective Kwak and threatened him. Jin Woo is on the phone and taunts him. This makes Nam Gyu Man very angry that he flips a table and storms out. We then flash back to Detective Kwak visiting Jin Woo at his office and he gives him a USB. On this device is the video of the detective tied up by Nam Gyu Man. Now that everyone has abandoned him, Detective Kwak now realizes what he has done and feels ashamed for letting Nam Gyu Man treat him like a dog. He tells Jin Woo he wants to target Nam Gyu Man as well.

The former prosecutor has his office raided by an investigation team because of corruptness in the court system. This was set up by Lee In Ah’s former boss. The former prosecutor then calls Nam Gyu Man and tells him that he was ratted out and of course this makes Nam Gyu Man very angry. Next we see Dong Ho getting into his car, but we discover that he is being followed. His assistant is in another car behind the spy. When the two men notice this they sandwich him in the middle and get out to confront him. Dong Ho then punches him and tells him he will kill him if he keeps spying on him.

In the next scene, we see Jin Woo talking to a doctor about health. The doctor tells him that he is not in good condition. The doctor tells him that his memory is not an ability but a disability. Jin Woo asks him how much time does he have left before his condition gets worse. The doctor tells him the more he used his memory, the faster it will decrease. The doctor gives him one year to 6 months and during this time his memory will deteriorate. Hearing this news makes Jin Woo very sad of course. He flashes back to his father in prison who could not remember him and he begins to cry.

Inside, Lee In Ah is working in the back of Jin Woo’s office. Nam Gyu Man comes in and hears some one back there and he sees the light on. He goes to the back and sees Lee In Ah and he also sees all of the evidence Jin Woo has collected. Jin Woo is about to enter his office and that’s where our episode ends!

Another exciting episode of Remember has come to a close. I must say I am very sad that It appears that Jin Woo is having early stages of Alzheimer’s. I only hope he will take proper care of himself and over come it. I am so afraid of what Nam Gyu Man is going to do to Lee In Ah in the back of the office. She is by her self and we all know that Nam Gyu Man has serious anger issues. We will have to see what happens in the next episode. Don’t forget to catch my reviews on my You Tube Channel  Also check out my reviews on DramaFever Episodes 1 & 2 Episodes 3 & 4 Episodes 5 & 6 Episodes 7 & 8 Episodes 9 & 10 Until next time Dramatics! K – Drama Review: Remember Episode 11

Hello Dramatics! I’m back again with another K – Drama Review. We are on Episode 11 of the K – Drama Remember. A lot of exciting thing happened in this episode. I am loving this bad ass JIn Woo! He is out for revenge now that his father had died and he is determined to catch the real culprit. Without further adieu, lets see what happened in this episode.

We start off with Jin Woo reminiscing about his father who has passed away. He is remembering all of the good times and bad times with his father. We see him visiting his father’s grave and he promises him that he will avenge his death. He also asks his father to watch over him. We then flash forward to one month later. Jin Woo is visiting the original doctor who diagnosed his father with Alzheimer’s in jail. The doctor tells him that he feels bad for his father’s death. Jin Woo tells him that soon Nam Gyu Man will be in jail just like he is. We learn that the doctor is in jail for 2 years for perjury and a minimum of 30 years for added punishment. Jin Woo tells him that he needed his testimony at the retrial and he is no longer needed so he might as well serve his punishment.  Hearing this news makes the doctor furious as he screams at Jin Woo. Jin Woo leaves the jail with a smirk on his face as if a lion has caught his prey. Next up, our Jin Woo visits the doctor who did not take care of his father while he was in prison. We see him being led by guards off to jail. Jin Woo approaches and the doctor says you were the one to turn me in aren’t you? This made the doctor angry and he tried to go after Jin Woo. We see that Jin Woo and his assistant were watching him for a while as he was doing corrupt business. Jin Woo took this evidence and gave it to the younger judge, Kang Suk Kyu because he has a strong sense for justice. Judge Kang Suk Kyu also tried to help Jin Woo’s father at the retrial.

The next person on Jin Woo’s radar is Detective Kwak. Jin Woo goes to the restaurant where he knows he will be meeting with someone. The two men exchange words and Detective Kwak goes to have  dinner with his client. What he doesn’t know is that our Jin Woo has planted a camera in the room with him and it is recording the conversation the two men are having. At a meeting with other police officers, detective Kwak is giving a presentation. Jin Woo burst in with a USB and told him to play it. The other officers in the meeting agree. As the footage on the USB is being played we see Detective Kwak meeting with a client and he is saying some bad things about Nam Gyu Man and his father. The look on Detective Kwak’s face is priceless as he looks and listens in horror to his words and actions on tape in front of his boss and colleges. Detective Kwak then gets a phone call and is notified that the police are raiding his office. Scared for his life, the detective calls his only help, Nam Gyu Man. When he visits Nam Gyu Man, he asks him for help, but Nam Gyu Man refused to do so. He has seen the video tape of Detective Kwak and he is not pleased at his words. He also threatens to kill the detective if he rats him out.

As Dong Ho is arriving to court, we see some protesters outside with picket signs that say: Investigate the microwave explosion accidents properly, and Reveal The Truth. After having an interview, Nam Gyu Man meets with Dong Ho who gives him the result of a trial. He tells him that money was saved without paying a penalty. Satisfied with the news, Dong Ho leaves the meeting. Nam Gyu Man is worried that Dong Ho will betray him once again, so he asks his assistant to keep an eye on him.

Lee In Ah’s mother is still upset and bitter that she quit her job as a prosecutor. We learn that it has been one month since her mother has talked to her. Lee In Ah’s mother goes to visit her at Jin Woo’s office. Jin Woo is there to greet her and she hands him some food for her. It’s obvious that Lee In Ah’s mother still cares about her and is worried about her, but she does not want to see her. Jin Woo tells her that she will send her home soon. Jin Woo gives Lee In Ah the food her mother gave her. She asked if her mother came to visit her and Jin Woo told her that she is worried about her.

Later we see Nam Gyu Man and his father arrive at the courthouse and they see the protesters standing in front of the building. The signs read: Illegal lawsuit beings down a company that took three generations to build and Police must investigate Il Ho Group Now. Suddenly, one of the protesters confronts Nam Gyu Man and his father. The protester works for a light bulb company and Il Ho Group is blaming the bulbs he produces is the cause of microwaves exploding. We learn that Il Ho Group filed a lawsuit against the light bulb company and it closed down. The protester told Nam Gyu Man’s father that this is unfair and his company did not make defective light bulbs. He did begged him to withdraw the lawsuit, but the guards just dragged him away. Later we see a young man standing outside of the courthouse holding a sign that says: Please protect Miso Light Bulb. We learn that he is the president’s son of Miso Light Bulb. Dong Ho walks over to him and hands him Jin Woo’s business card and tells the young man that he could help with the case.

Dong Ho goes to meet with Detective Bae who was the detective when his father was in the car accident. The detective tells Dong Ho that his father told him some information about Nam Il Ho who tried to close the case in a hurry.

The young man from Miso Light Bulb went to visit Jin Woo and ask for help with his father’s case. Jin Woo refused to help him and walked out of the office. While in the car he began to reflect on when he was asking Dong Ho for help with his father’s case. Eventually he felt sorry for the young man and decided to help him and his father. Jin Woo meets with the young man and his father to find out more information about his company and the trial against Il Ho Group. Jin Woo promises them that he will win the trial. Nam Gyu Man learns that the lawyer defending Miso Light Bulb is Jin Woo and he tells this to Dong Ho. We learn that Dong Ho at Il Ho Group will be going up against Jin Woo in court. Nam Gyu Man hires a spy to keep an eye out on Dong Ho as he tells him to watch his every move.

Jin Woo sees Lee In Ah and she asks him where he was going. He told her he is going to his office, but he was walking in the wrong direction. Lee In Ah had a look of concern on her face. It appears to me that our Jin Woo might be losing his memory which is not like him at all. We see him in his office taking medicine.  So far in previous episodes we have seen him forget simple things that he always remembered. We know that something is wrong, but we don’t know what exactly his illness is.

At Miso Light Bulb, we see that it is being shut down by authorities thanks to Nam Gyu Man and his father. We learn that the court has seized the property for delinquent taxes. JIn Woo tells the young man and his father that there is noting that they can do at this point.  The next day, guards hired by Il Ho Group show up at Miso Light Bulb and stop the young man and his father from entering the factory. The guards tell them that they borrowed money from Il Ho Group and they will not enter until they pay them back.  As they try to enter and fight off the guards, they are both kicked and beaten. MIn Soo calls Jin Woo and asks him to come to the factory to save his father. We see the President on the rooftop ready to commit suicide. Jin Woo sees this and goes on the roof and talks him out of killing himself for his son’s sake.

The next day in court we see Jin Woo going against Dong Ho. Lee In Ah is cross examining a worker who manufactures light bulbs for Miso Light Bulb company and he testifies that the company is affiliated with Il Ho Group. At the end of the trial Jin Woo wins against Dong Ho. As Nam Gyu Man and Dong Ho walk out of the court room, Nam Gyu Man slaps Dong Ho in the face. Nearby, Jin Woo and Lee In Ah witness this. And that’s where our episode ends.

Let me know what you think about this episode and leave a comment below. I really am loving the mean Jin Woo. I am happy he is finally getting some type of revenge on those who wronged him and his father. I was also happy that Jin Woo helped Min Soo and his father with the rial. I am still hoping that Dong Ho and Jin Woo will become allies and help to finally end the evil reign of Nam Gyu Man and Il Ho Group. K – Drama Review: Remember Episode 10

Hello Dramatics! We are now on Episode 10 of the K – Drama Remember. There are so many questions that need answers. Will Jin Woo get his revenge on Nam Gyu Man and his father? Jin Woo’s father is getting worse while in prison. It’s obvious that he is not getting the medical attention he needs for his Alzheimer’s  and now stomach pains. Jin Woo also has some kind of illness that we have yet to learn about. Lets see if we find any answers to our questions in Episode 10. Without further adieu, lets get started.

In the last episode we saw Jin Woo in court forget his words, stumble and faint in the court room. We learn he was rushed to the hospital to receive medical attention. Lee In Ah and Jin Woo co workers came to visit him and so did Dong Ho. Jin Woo was not too thrilled to see Dong Ho because he betrayed him so many times. Dong Ho tells him to take care of himself and rest before he continues with the trial. Dong Ho also also tells him that the only wants one thing and that’s for his father to be found innocent.

Back in court, the doctor of JIn Woo’s father is on the witness stand and he admits that he falsely testified in court four years ago. He admitted his father had Alzheimer’s. Jin Woo asked him who told him to commit perjury but he said no one told him to do so. Jin Woo told him not to lie and asked him again if he committed perjury on his own and he said yes. Jin Woo asked him a third time who told him to commit perjury and said no one. But we all know that it was Nam Gyu Man and his father who told him to do so.

Nam Gyu Man meets with the doctor at his office. The doctor begs and pleads with him that Jin Woo made him tell the real truth. Nam Gyu Man basically slaps the doctor and threatens him. He then takes his glass name plate and breaks it in front of him. As he leaves, Nam Gyu Man calls prosecutor Choi and tells her to find a way to keep Jin Woo’s father in prison.

While in his office, Jin Woo’s office assistant enters and asks him if his condition is getting worse. Jin Woo responds by saying no one can know yet. He then thinks about what Dong Ho told him earlier and if he was sincere with his words about his father’s innocence.

Jin Woo goes to visit his father in prison and his father recognized him. This made Jin Woo very happy and excited! His father started to remember a lot of things Jin Woo did as a child. He even remember a time when the two of them were singing on his birthday. It was great seeing his father remember things from the past. The two of them were laughing and having a good time reminiscing. It appears that Jin Woo’s father is getting better suddenly. I hope that this means that he is finally getting the proper care he needs.

Nam Gyu Man and his father have a conversation about prosecutor Choi. He tells his son that she is taking care of the trial and that he should focus on the company. Nam Gyu Man tells his father that the company merger is going well. His father tells him that he is the only heir to the company and his sister is not meant to handle a responsibility as that. Nam Gyu Man talks with his assistant and he tells him that he needs to take care of detective Gwak before Jin Woo gets him to admit he falsely testified.

At his office, Jin Woo made a plan to go after detective Gwak because he played a major part in his father’s guilty verdict. Jin Woo asks his assistant to keep an eye out on him. The two of them see detective Gwak directing traffic and Jin Woo steps out of his car to talk to him. He tells detective Gwak that Nam Gyu Man is going after him and he will give him the chance to tell the truth.

Meanwhile, we see Lee In Ah and she tells her boss that she is quitting her job as a prosecutor. The reason she is quitting is because the system is corrupt and she can no longer work properly as a prosecutor. Lee In Ah leaves the office with her belongings and goes home to break the news to her parents. Her father is supportive and her mother is furious at her. Her mother was so mad she kicked Lee In Ah out of the house. With no where to live, she goes to Jin Woo’s office. She tells Jin Woo that she quit her job and she spends the night in the extra room at his law firm. I am so hoping for a romance between these two characters! It was very cute watching them sitting on the couch drinking beers and laughing together. I could use a little romance and fluff in this drama for a while. It would lighten up the mood and give me a break from all of the intense scenes. The next day Jin Woo’s co workers come in and find him sleeping on the couch. Lee In Ah comes down stairs from the room and the two co workers thought they had a wild and romantic night. Jin Woo and Lee In Ah just laughed that assumption off. Lee In Ah hears them talking about the trial and she asks if she could help. Lee In Ah told them that she is now attorney Lee instead of prosecutor Lee and agrees to help. The group takes a picture and then Jin Woo gets a phone call.

When Jin Woo answers, he suddenly runs out of the office. We learn that his father is in the hospital because he was complaining of stomach pains while in prison. All of the doctors and prison guards ignored his medical condition and cries for help. Later Dong Ho visits him in the hospital. He asks the doctor about his condition and payed him to save Jin Woo’s father no matter what. As he leaves the hospital, he sees Jin Woo and tells him that he will finish what he could not do four years earlier in court. I am hoping that he finally gets to use the evidence of Nam Gyu Man’s confession. This is very important information in the trial. At his fathers bedside, Jin Woo tells him he will win the trial just to hang on a little bit longer.

Later we see Dong Ho’s father figure and Nam Gyu Man’s assistant talking about how to handle detective Gwak. Jin Woo’s assistant listens in on the conversation and calls him with what he heard. We then see detective Gwak tied up on the hood of a car in a junk yard. There is a crane that is about to smash down on him and kill him until Jin Woo kicks out the driver of the crane and takes control. He saves detective Gwak from Dong Ho’s father figure and his gangsters.

Dong Ho and his father figure are having a drink at a club and he begins to ask him about the car accident his father was in. He told him that Jin Woo’s family was in the other car that his father hit and he wants to know more information about it. His father figure told him if he knew anything he would have told him. I have a feeling that he knows exactly what was going on with Dong Ho’s father on the day in question. Hopefully the truth about this will come to light in future episodes. His father figure told him to pick a side either Jin Woo or Nam Gyu Man.  Dong Ho tells him that he will repay is debt to Jin Woo in the retrial.

Before Dong Ho enters the courtroom with the evidence, he is stopped by his assistant. He begs Dong Ho not to show the evidence. Dong Ho brushes him off and goes on into the court room. His assistant immediately gets on the phone and notifies Nam Gyu Man.

In court, we notice that the judge has been replaced by an older man. The younger judge asks his boss why the replacement. His boss said that with the retrial someone with more experience would be better. Before the judge started the trial he mentioned that the tape confession of the older woman has no consistency or credibility. He is asking for another witness and more evidence. We then see Dong Ho arrive at the court parking lot. As he gets out of his car he is attacked by his father figure’s gangsters and beaten up. His father figure takes the evidence from him that he was supposed to show in court.

Detective Gwak is on the stand in court. As Jin Woo questions him, he begins to tell the truth about falsely arresting his father. When Jin Woo asked him about illegally incarcerated his father and forcing ad confession out of him….he lied. He said he did not do anything like that. We then flash back to detective Gwak and Nam Gyu Man talking. Nam Gyu Man told him he will be used as bait in the trial. As Jin Woo begins to give his final statement he receives a call from his Office Manager. She tells him that his father has passed away. Jin Woo runs out of the courtroom and to the hospital to see his father. It’s a very sad scene to watch as Jin Woo is crying and begging his father to wake up. My heart was broken and I felt sad for Jin Woo. He tried so hard to do everything he could to help his father. At his fathers memorial, Dong Ho comes to pay his respects to Jin Woo’s father. This upsets Jin Woo of course as he blames him for killing his father. He promised that he will get his revenge on everyone who did this to his family.

At a company meeting, Nam Gyu Man’s father appoints him president of Il Ho Group succeeding his father. Dong Ho is not there and his father figure calls his assistant looking for him. Nam Gyu Man notices that he is not there and threatens to harm him if he does not arrive soon. We then see Jin Woo enter his home where he and his father lived. He began looking at old photos of him and his dad and he read a heartwarming letter his did wrote to him. As he reads it, Jin Woo is sitting on the floor crying. And that’s where our episode ends.

WOW! This episode really had me all in my feelings! We are now ten episodes in and I have cried watching each one. This one was no exception. I am happy that Dong Ho was trying to come around and be an ally to Jin Woo. I am very sadden however of Jin Woo’s father who is now deceased. I did not expect that to happen at all. But I will say with his passing, this gives Jin Woo a more desperation to get revenge on Nam Gyu Man. And with Lee In Ah now a lawyer I am hoping to see a more active role in future episodes. Alright Dramatics let me know what you think about this episode. K – Drama Review: Remember Episode 9

Hello Dramatics! We are back again with another exciting episode of the K – Drama Remember. I must admit I have cried watching every episode so far, but there are some parts of this drama that has had me on the edge of my seat! Episode 9 really has me on an emotional roller coaster that I cannot escape. This episode is packed with the same emotion and excitement as the others. I hope that you all have been watching and following along with me as we witness what happens to our beloved Jin Woo in this intense drama. Without further adieu, lets get into Episode 9!

We last left off with Lee In Ah looking for the man who has the scorpion tattoo on the back of his hand. He is responsible for killing the woman who falsely testified in Jin Woo’s father’s trial four years earlier. Jin Woo is also looking for him and Dong Ho is hot on his tail. Lee In Ah sees him at a grocery store and decides to follow close behind him. Suddenly, he appears behind her and hits her over the head with a brick knocking her unconscious. He then drags her into his clock shop where he ties her up and tries to strangle her with chicken wire. Dong Ho breaks into the shop and stops him from trying to kill her. Soon after, Jin Woo enters,  unties her from the chair, and makes sure she is not hurt.  We then see the man with the scorpion tattoo in jail and Dong Ho’s father figure promises him that he will take care of everything and get him released soon.

As Jin Woo, his office manager, the stuttering attorney, and Lee In Ah leave the police station, we see Nam Gyu Man’s assistant watching them from his vehicle. He gets on the phone with Nam Gyu Man to tell him that Jin Woo was released because Lee In Ah caught the killer. This really makes Nam Gyu Man upset as he catches a fit of road rage when someone cut him off while driving. He then gets out of his car and retrieves a golf club from his trunk and proceeds to break the drivers windshield and damages her car. He then calls Dong Ho to come and clean up the mess.

Jin Woo and Lee In Ah are walking and he tells her not to go after a culprit alone ever again. Lee In Ah said she had to catch him in order to clear his name. The two then see the daughter of the woman who was killed. She gives Jin Woo a cell phone with a video tape confession from her mother. Her mother says on camera that she did falsely testified in court four years ago while on the witness stand. The younger judge saw this video tape confession and turned the case over for retrial. Nam Gyu Man’s father was not happy when he saw this on the news. Nam Gyu Man begged his father that he will win the trial no matter what. His father threatened him to take care of this trial if he does not want to end up like his mother. Which brings me to realize we have never seen Nam Gyu Man’s mother at all. I wonder what happened to her and what his father meant by saying that to him? Did his father have his mother murdered perhaps?

Jin Woo visits his father in prison and Jin Woo tells him that his retrial has been confirmed. His father says he does not want to go through it because he killed the college student. Jin Woo tells him he did not kill her, Nam Gyu Man is the real killer. He tells his father that the does not have to worry about anything, just go through the trial. After the visit, Jin Woo barges into the doctors office and asks about the health of this father. He tells him that along with his Alzheimer’s he has been complaining of pain. Jin Woo asks the doctor to let his father get treatment from outside sources. The doctor just brushes him off and does not want to help because he is a murderer. Later we see Jin Woo’s father doubled over with stomach pain begging the doctor for help. The doctor just gives him a couple of aspirin and tells him to stop pretending to be sick. The guards then remove him from the office and back to his cell.

Dong Ho meets with a prosecutor and detective Bae for dinner. The college mentions a drunk driving accident involving a father and son. Dong Ho then flashes back to when he was at the police station asking the detective about his father driving drunk. We learn that his father was not drinking on the day of the accident. At the police station, Dong Ho meets with detective Bae and asks him about the details of the traffic accident he mentioned before. The detective tells him that three people died when the truck hit the car. Dong Ho requested to see the files of the accident report. When Dong Ho reads the accident report, the then realizes that it was his father that killed Jin Woo’s mother and little brother. He is very sadden when he learns this news. I hope that by knowing the truth about the accident, Dong Ho will become allies with Jin Woo again and help him with his father’s trial.

We then see Nam Gyu Man and his father meeting with a new female prosecutor. Nam Gyu Man, Dong Ho and prosecutor Choi have dinner. It appears that prosecutor Choi and Dong Ho know each other from law school. Nam Gyu Man wants the two to work together to help him be safe in the retrial.

The head prosecutor asks Lee In Ah to take on the retrial with prosecutor Choi. Lee In Ah is very shocked by this because it puts her against Jin Woo in court. He reminds her that he was the original prosecutor four years earlier and that she must win the trial no matter what.  We then see the prosecutor talking with Nam Gyu Man. He tells Nam Gyu Man that he will make Lee In Ah quit her job by stressing her out.

Jin Woo pays a visit to his father’s doctor who diagnosed him with Alzheimer’s. Jin Woo tells him to reveal in the retrial that he gave false testimony four years ago against his father.

We see Dong Ho go into a safe deposit box and in there he has a copy of the tape confession of Nam Gyu Man saying that he killed the college girl. I am hoping that he uses this as evidence in court to help Jin Woo and his father once and for all. This evidence would finally put an end to Nam Gyu Man and his manipulation. Nam Gyu Man calls Dong Ho and tells him to meet him at Jin Woo’s office. Nam Gyu Man gets there first. He offers Jin Woo money and a position at his company if he would back off of the retrial. Dong Ho enters the office and tells Jin Woo the trial was doomed from the start and the results will still be the same four years later.

At the retrial,  Lee In Ah walks in and she sits on the side of Jin Woo instead of prosecutor Choi. Prosecutor Choi notices this and makes a phone call to the former prosecutor. The video tape of the woman who falsely testified in court is played. Prosecutor Choi tells the judge that the tape cannot be used as evidence because she was threatened by Jin Woo to say those things on tape. She calls a grocery store worker to the stand who saw Jin Woo talking to the woman on the day in question. He tells the court that she was being threatened by Jin Woo. He said he heard the woman say he will call the police if he keeps harassing her. Jin Woo then calls the womans daughter to the witness stand and she tells the truth. She says that Jin Woo did not threaten her mother to making that video confession, but it was done on her own free will. And she revealed that it was her who shot the video tape and she gave it to Jin Woo. Jin Woo then calls his father’s doctor to the witness stand. As Jin Woo was about to question him, he suddnely forgot what he was going to say. He falls dizzy and faints in the court room. Lee In Ah and Dong Ho rush to his side to help him. And that’s how Episode 9 ends.

Remember Jin Woo has a photographic memory…..he NEVER forgets anything. He always remembers everything to detail. I wonder why is he starting to lose his memory? It was hinted earlier that something is wrong with him, but we do not know what illness he has at this time. Hopefully we will find out soon. Alright Dramatics that’s all for now.
